TCA Elementary Staff

Mrs. Randolph has spent several years as a elementary substitute teacher and teaching preschool. During the 2007-2008 school year she worked with Mrs. Smith teaching in our Kindergarten Department as well as working with our pre-schoolers in Temple Tot Nursery School. She has done an excellent job and has built a wonderful relationship with her students. We were all pleased the impact she made on the children in Temple Tots and Temple Christian Academy. We are happy to introduce her as our Kindergarten teacher for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Mrs. Randolph has two daughters enrolled in TCA. Adraian is in the 6th grade while Allie is in Kindergarten.

Mrs. Wendy Smith

Lower Elementary

Mrs. Smith's teaching career began in 1988 in the K-4 department. In 1993 she began substitute teaching at Grace Baptist Academy in Urbana, OH. She home schooled her oldest son, Wesley, until the fourth grade when she began teaching at Grace full-time.

Wendy is married to Pastor Steve Smith, who serves as the Assistant Pastor of the Fremont Baptist Temple and administrator of TCA. They came to us in June of 2007 and worked tirelessly to reestablish Temple Christian Academy. Mrs. Smith taught Kindergarten last year with outstanding results. Parents and church family alike were thrilled at the accomplishments of our graduating kindergarten class. They read out loud, solved math problems and even demonstrated their knowledge of American Sign Language.

We are delighted to have Mrs. Smith teaching our lower elementary students this year.

Mrs. Gayle Barton

Upper Elementary

Mrs. Barton has been teaching in Christian Schools for over 20 years. She earned her Master's Degree in education in 1999. She has been married to Carl for thirty-five years. Her daughter, Bethany, still lives at home and teaches here at Temple Tot Nursery School. Her son, Matthew lives in North Carolina with his wife Kim.

Carl and Gayle both received Christ as their personal Savior in their early twenties during revival services. Carl is the Assistant Pastor at Venice road Baptist Church and Gayle is active in teaching the adult women's Sunday school class, singing in the choir and directing the women's ministries.

"I thoroughly enjoy teaching. I learn and grow daily with the kids. They have been a blessing to me. I do not take lightly the responsibility of guiding these you people not only academically, but more importantly, spiritually. I look forward to many more years at TCA. Thank you for entrusting your students to my care."
